The Somali Community of Zurich Welcomes Said Abdullahi Bitow, Director of Communication and Public Relations at the Djibouti Parliament

The Somali Community of Zurich warmly welcomed Mr. Said Abdullahi Bitow, Director of Communication and Public Relations at the Djibouti Parliament, during his visit to Switzerland.

The welcoming meeting brought together members of the Somali Community in the Zurich region, including community leaders, youth representatives, women, academics, and individuals actively involved in social and community affairs. During the meeting, community representatives provided Mr. Bitow with an overview of the general situation of the Somali community in Zurich, the activities being carried out to support the community, and the ongoing efforts aimed at strengthening social cohesion, unity, and cooperation among Somali families living in Switzerland.

The briefing also highlighted the community’s work in supporting social integration, preserving cultural identity, encouraging youth engagement, and creating spaces that bring together different sections of the Somali community. Participants shared updates on community-led programs, social initiatives, and the importance of maintaining regular dialogue and collaboration between Somali community organizations and visiting public figures from the Horn of Africa.

Mr. Said Abdullahi Bitow thanked the Somali Community of Zurich for the warm welcome and for the valuable briefing shared during the meeting.
